We are closely monitoring Subtropical Storm Alberto as it continues its path towards Florida.
Now is the time to prepare for the storm. Please take a moment to review and share Florida Public Utilities’ Hurricane Safety Tips with your family.
Please leave the area & call FPU immediately if:
You smell a distinct rotten egg odor
Your energy service/system is visibly compromised
A gas pipeline or power line is damaged in any way
If you discover a downed electric wire or power line, assume it is energized (and therefore dangerous) and stay as far away as possible.NEVER TOUCH a downed power line or any telephone cable wires in close proximity.
